Introducing: Jewellery History

Introducing: Jewellery History

I’ve been obsessed with ancient history since I was 7. I even studied it at uni for a while—lifelong archaeology dream and all that! It didn’t quite go to plan (turns out actual archaeology is a little less “Indiana Jones,” a little more spreadsheets and soil samples). But the love for the ancient world never left.

Now I make handmade jewellery inspired by the past—and honestly? I think little Iza would be pretty amazed!

So I’ve decided to start a new series: Jewellery History. It’s a collection of short, fascinating stories from thousands of years ago, all centred around one thing I can’t get enough of - jewellery. From ancient Egyptian amulets to Roman ring laws, Viking silver to Cleopatra’s emerald diplomacy… It’s a sparkling deep dive into what people wore, why it mattered, and what it says about them (and us).

I wanted to share something that goes beyond the usual scroll—a little bit of value, a little bit of magic and a whole lot of historical sparkle.

If you love old things, slow craft, beautiful materials or just a good story told in metal and stone, I think you’ll enjoy it.

Thanks for coming along on the journey.

Lots of love,

Izabella x
